Boondockers Welcome is a network of people offering their residential property for RV travelers needing an overnight spot to rest. The original plan had been for us to be on a regenerative heritage cattle farm in Maryland on this third stop. One of my guardian travel angels looking over my schedule suggested a second day of driving for 8 hours might not be the best idea. So I hopped on Harvest Hosts and found Jackie and Tom’s listing in Afton, Virginia, only a four-hour drive from Uwharrie Vineyards. We had a splendid visit. Jackie and Tom are retired from the restaurant business and avid RV travelers. We enjoyed swapping life stories. We’ll be hopefully hosting them soon at our home in Tampa!
